Day 19 - We meet Paulette and Al

Left Butte early and hit the road so we could get to East Glacier in the same day.   I have an internet friend who lives near/in Great Falls, MT and we had arranged to meet along the road.  She's a mutual friend of another internet friend and has been part of our "group" for awhile.  She said to call when we get to Helena, MT and she'd know when to meet us at the Flying J in Great Falls.  I blinked and missed Helena!  If David hadn't said anything, we'd still be driving past Great Falls.

About Helena....we have a city in Alabama called Helena, but we pronounce it "Hell-lean-a."  In Montana, they pronounce their state capital "Helen-uh."  Some confusion for us southern folks!  LOL

We got to the Flying J and there were Paulette and Al waiting for us.  David got fuel and I went on inside to wait with Paulette and Al.   We got a table and were getting ready to order when Paulette got a call she had to take.  It was her mom saying her dad's blood pressure was really low and they were taking him to the hospital.  Paulette said he had congestive heart failure.  David had stepped away, so the waitress took our photo.

Paulette's dad is better, by the way!

Back on the road.  It's big sky country here, but you can't take a photo to do it justice!

See?

Cowboy Country!
Teepee coffee house in Browning, MT.

David referred to this as a Montana RV!

Really windy here!

And the majesty of Glacier National Park appears!
And the reminders are everywhere!

We're actually crossing through the Blackfeet Nation.  Here's their greeting sign:

We pulled into Glacier Meadows Campground and got set up.  We're parked in a beautiful green meadow the mountains around us.  We'll be rocked to sleep by a gentle wind and light rain.

See ya down the road!

Jenny :)
