Day 3 - Part 1 - Leaving Little Rock

We spent the night at a campground.  A shower felt really great and I'm sure those around us are appreciative, too.

We talked to Dometic about the refrigerator and it was indeed recalled, but not for the problem we're having.  We also talked to a local Dometic repairman and he agreed a part probably wouldn't fix it.  We drove back to Camping World and had them put in the new refrigerator.  It's black on the front and looks great.  Just wish we hadn't had to purchase it!

Although the had assured us we would be on the road by noon.  Didn't quite happen.  We left about 1:00 p.m.

We passed a beautiful First Pentecostal Church on I-40.  Took a picture of it, but alas, I didn't have the card in the camera!  DUH!

In an effort to make up a couple of days we're behind, we didn't stop for lunch until 2:15 p.m. and it was a quick one from McDonald's.

4:25 p.m. and here's what we saw:

It's getting windy and the weather is going downhill fast.  David says we have a "cross tail wind."  I asked him why it was cranky.  No answer....

We like the way Oklahoma honors their famous citizens:

Carrie Underwood
Troy Aikman
Roger Miller
Garth Brooks
Gen. Tom Stafford

We saw streets named for them or big signs on I-40 announcing their hometowns!

The weather up ahead is really nasty and the NWS radio in the truck keeps sounding for tornado warnings and severe thunderstorm warnings.  I'm a nervous wreck!

See ya down the road!

Jenny :)
