Day 2 - Busted Flat in Little Rock! Refrigerator's Dead!

Weather:   59 degrees and breezy.  Sun's out, too!

Across I -40 from us is a huge operation for Loreal/Mabelline.  I look gorgeous this morning!  LOL

The fridge sage continues!

When we got up, it was freezing again!  The technician checked it and decided we needed a part he didn't have.  He checked to see if it could be overnighted to us.  By 11:00 am., we still didn't have an answer.  We decided to go ahead to the KOA in North Little Rock so we could have utilities. Water is important. We certainly didn't want to smell like the skunk in the road we passed!

After lunch, David checked the fridge.  This time it's terminal.  Sigh....we will be back at Camping World in the morning to have a new one installed.  Don't even ask the price.  I could buy several for home at the price they sell for!

Yesterday I posted on Facebook:

"Busted flat in Little Rock.  Refrigerator's dead.  Feeling near as faded as my jeans."

I'm glad I have musical friends because this line came back from my friend Amy:

"Fridge is just another word for nothing left to cool...

Nothing, I mean nothing honey if it ain't cold, no no"

It was quite funny then and still is today.  We'll get the fridge installed early tomorrow morning and pick back up on our travels.  We're now one day behind and have to be in Estes Park by Saturday.  David's going to have a great deal of long driving to get us there one time.  Please keep him in your prayers!

Now for the weird part of the day.

Turned on the Weather channel to see what's ahead.  Should have left it off!  They are running a story on the 30th Anniversary of the Eruption of Mt. St. Helens.  Where are we headed?  Yep, Mt. St. Helens.  Next story was about Mt. Rainier and the lahar flows.  Where are we headed?  Yep, Mt. Rainier.  We visited it a few years back when David had a job in Seattle.  I actually took the car and drove around taking pictures.  Ended up lost in Orting, WA.  What's the first place the lahar gets to? Yep, Orting.    They move on to Lassen Volcano in California.  Where are we headed?  Yep, Lassen.  The stories finally go off and I fell asleep on the couch.  Woke up to the next news item for them.  Severe weather in Oklahoma tomorrow.  Great!

I'm terrified of tornadoes and storms and one of my greatest fears is to run into Vortex 2 and Sean Casey in the TIV (Tornado Intercept Vehicle) and they're going the same direction as me.  Say some prayers for us tomorrow as that's what we're driving into.  Hail, storms, etc., late in the day.

David has dinner almost ready.  Roast, rice, and something else.  We're cooking what we can to save some items in the fridge.

See ya down the road!

Jenny :)
